About Us

The Redland Sinfonia is composed of people from all ages and walks of life including professional musicians, music teachers, students, retirees and those that enjoy music making as a hobby.

It is truly a community based orchestra. Our aims and ideals are to foster and encourage the talents of musicians and to bring fine music to the people of Redland City, a locality in the greater Brisbane area.

The Redland Sinfonia generally performs four regular concerts in Redland City, along with other concerts by request. Our repertoire includes a wide variety of classical music as well as a selection of popular light music.



Membership of the Redland Sinfonia is open to anyone who enjoys playing orchestral music and who likes to socialize with a very friendly and community minded group of people.

Age is no barrier, with people from all walks of life, all types of musical backgrounds, enjoying playing music together.

Cost of membership is extremely reasonable with one player being AUD$120 per year and AUD$10 for Friends Membership.

Rehearsals are held at RPAC, Cleveland every Tuesday, 7:15pm - 9:30pm.
Players are expected to have achieved a minimum standard Grade 6 AMEB or equivalent.
