Kaitlyn Bowen: scholarship winner:
“The Ray Gillmore scholarship is a wonderful opportunity for young and upcoming musicians to be financially supported whilst following their passions and gaining real repertoire knowledge. The audition and excerpt learning process was an excellent example of professional practice, and working with the orchestra and musical director on the provided solo opportunities is an excellent way to develop musical and performance-based skills.
The scholarship fund is incredibly helpful for those musicians where financial aid would help with study or instrument upkeep. Playing with the orchestra truly is the highlight of the week, I’ve never felt as valued or welcomed in another orchestra as I have with the Redland Sinfonia.”
